Quesnel, Prince George, and Fort St John are three of 23 communities in BC set to benefit from a new government sports grant.
Over 175 thousand dollars will go toward 39 events throughout BC over the next year thanks to the latest instalment of Hosting BC Grants.
The program aims to support sport in combinations with economic and community development.
Fort St John will see 56 hundred dollars to support two long track speed skating events, Prince George will benefit from 4 thousand dollars to host the 2019 Ringette Provincials, and Quesnel will see 6 thousand dollars go towards the 2019 BC Curling Championships.
