Three northern BC communities will share in the latest outlay of federal Gas Tax funding.
The District of Vanderhoof is getting $6 million which will help make its long-awaited $12 million swimming pool project a reality.
The 12,000 square foot facility will be located at the north end of the community arena.
Mackenzie will be in line for $5 million which will be put to use in the district’s Recreation Centre Retrofit and Community Hall project.
More details are expected at an announcement later this week.
The City of Fort St. John will get $5 million to use in its Resource Recovery Centre project.
The federal Gas Tax Fund is administered by the Union of BC Municipalities in partnership with the federal and provincial governments.
