As Wildfires continue to burn throughout the province, the RCMP has been as busy as the wildfire crews.
While firefighters have been busy battling the blazes, RCMP have been working with local districts and towns under evacuation alerts or orders.
Dawn Roberts is the communications director for the RCMP and she says during the busiest time this summer 600 additional officers were deployed and to-date over 4400 personnel were deployed to different fire zones.
Roberts says it’s been a very busy summer.
This summer the BC wildfire service spent just shy of 500 million dollars fighting the fires.
