The Government of BC’s Gaming Grants Program has announced a 62 million dollar investment in community organizations for 2018.
The grants go towards support of human and social services programs which positively impact the lives of vulnerable people in the province.
This includes over 16 hundred organizations in more than 150 communities that offer homeless outreach programs, foodbank services, addiction support, and much more.
Included in the grants are Aboriginal friendship centers, transition houses, scouts, cadets, daycares, and more.
The funding is part of 140 million dollars in grants handed out annually by the Community Gaming Grants Program.
