An air quality advisory has been issued for Burns Lake due to a high concentration of fine particulate matter.
Along with the advisory, restrictions have been placed on open burning in the Lakes Timber Supply Area, which will remain in effect until Sunday morning.
While the advisory remains active, the use of woodstoves will also be prohibited within Burns Lake, unless the stove is a dwelling’s only source of heat.
Those with underlying medical conditions, as well as the elderly and children, should avoid strenuous outdoor activity and remain in doors when possible.
