We’re not quite out of the woods yet when it comes to the wildfire season with another area restriction coming down yesterday.
Crown Land 30 kms south west of Fraser Lake is now under the restriction due to threats from both the Island Lake and the Cheslatta Lake wildfires.
The rate of spread of the two fires has forced the restriction, which prohibits entering or remaining on Crown land in the area unless you live within the boundaries, work at or operate a business in the zone, or have written consent.
The restriction will remain in effect until September 30th.
