The BC Coroners Service is probing the weekend death of a snowmobiler near Prince George.
RCMP were notified Saturday morning that a slide swept away one sledder in a group of five riding in the remote Torpy Mountain range northeast of the city.
Police and Prince George Search and Rescue crews went to the scene and recovered the body of an adult male.
Mounties say none of the other riders were injured in the avalanche.
RCMP say all of the snowmobilers were experienced and properly equipped for the trip.
The BC Coroners Service is expected to provide more information as the investigation progresses.
