Banks Island Gold Ltd. and two executives of the bankrupt mining company are facing a slew of charges.
Benjamin Mossman, who was the CEO of the defunct company, and chief geologist Dirk Meckert are facing 18 charges of violating the Environmental Management Act.
There are 17 charges of failing to comply with a permit, and one charge of failing to report a polluting spill.
Banks Island Gold went into receivership in January.
Last year its mining operations on Banks Island, in the traditional territory of the Gitxaala, was suspended after an Environment Ministry investigation showed the company was breaching environmental regulations.
A court date has been set for September 7th in Prince Rupert.
