With fuel tariffs on BC ferries set to go out the window in June 27th, passengers can expect a price increase coming soon.
While price increases will vary depending on trips, you can expect between a 50 cent and 2 dollar increase per trip.
Transportation Minister Claire Trevena took to the podium yesterday to reiterate her frustrations with BC Ferries.
According to Trevena, recent discussions with the corporation have led to no solutions.
Trevena also stated that she will continue to work on fare reduction strategies to ensure that residents along the coast can travel affordably.
