The provincial government is taking a challenge that calls on men to fast for a day to show their commitment to end violence against women.
Moose Hide Campaign Day is on February 16th, and the province is encouraging members of the public service and legislature to take part in the fast.
The province’s Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation and the Provincial Office of Domestic Violence will be working with campaign founder Paul Lacerte on the campaign.
People are also encouraged to wear Moose Hide pins to show their support.
The Moose Hide campaign began in 2011 with a number of events held every year calling on men to stop violence against women.
