BC Hydro has been hit with a heap of negative feedback following the launch of their crisis fund project.
The planned three year fund was set up by the BC Utilities Commission as a way to assist financially distressed customers.
After the 25 cent per month charge was added to hydro bills, the utility began recieving a slew of complaints over lack of consultation, tax concerns, and the ethics of operating what looks like a social insurance program.
As a result of the complaints, BC Hydro has pushed a review planned for the end of the second year of the program to the end of the first year.
