For the 15th consecutive time, the BC Supreme Court has ruled against a legal challenge to the Site C mega-dam.
This time it was a bid for an injunction order by the West Moberly First Nations that was rejected by BC’s highest court.
According to Justice Warren Milman, the injunction order would have little chance of succeeding and would cause irreparable harm to BC Hydro and its stakeholders.
The West Moberly First Nation, however, believes the multi-billion dollar project would cause irreparable harm to their way of life, hence violating their treaty rights.
Both the West Moberly and Prophet River First Nations have attempted to take legal action against the project multiple times, with all attempts falling short.
