BC Wildfire Service say a number of controlled burns will take place over the next month.
The fires are expected to take place in the Mount Horetzky, Rosswood and Nadina areas.
Smoke may be visible in nearby communities.Crews say the fires will be lit if the weather, site conditions and venting conditions are suitable. BC Wildfire Service firefighters and ignition specialists will conduct and carefully monitor these burns.
Officials say the fires help with vegetation of the forest and will help decrease the risk of high-intensity wildfires in the future.
