Currently, there are 167 wildfires burning in BC, which includes 32 new fires that started yesterday.
Officials are continuing to work on public safety and keeping evacuation routes and highways open.
The Fire information officer informs the province it will be yet, another dry weekend.
The wildfire office says most of the fires that started up yesterday were caused by lightning.
Robert Turner is with Emergency management BC and he says the evacuee number hasn’t changed from 43 thousand.
Turner says even with rain in the forecast residents should still be ready for an evacuation at any time.
Telus gave some good news today for residents returning to Cache Creek, the company fixed all the damage in the area so service is back up and running.
