BC Federation of Labour President Irene Lanzinger has announced that she will not be seeking re-election.
Lanzinger has served 2 terms in the position after being elected as the Federation’s first female president back in 2014.
According to the President, the Federation is strong, united, and has a focused agenda, making this an optimal time to pass on leadership.
Lanzinger may be best known for leading the charge in BC’s fight for a 15 dollar per hour minimum wage.
