It was a reverse Goldilocks situation for a family in Smithers yesterday morning.
Dustin Hersee awoke yesterday morning to find an unwanted visitor in his living room: a bear.
The bear had entered the home through an unlocked patio door and subsequently locked itself in by closing said door.
Eventually, Hersee managed to evade the animal and make it to the patio door to let it out after causing small damage to the home.
Hersee says a conservation officer was at his home within the hour, who deemed it odd behaviour for the animal as there was no garbage or food left out.
