Bella Coola RCMP helped to rescue an injured eagle on Sunday.
Police received a call about the eagle, who had suffered a broken wing, on the bank of the Tatsquan River.
With the help of a community resident, two constables were able to able to rescue the bird and bring it to the Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilition Centre in Delta.
Police captured the animal in a fishing net covered by a leather jacket in order to bring it safely from the river side and it spent the night at the Bella Coola detachment before being transferred to the Centre, where it is now recovering.
