Beverley Playfair beat out two other candidates in the race for mayor of the District of Fort St. James.
Playfair picked up about 53% of the vote, compared with challengers Brenda Gouglas who got 26.5% of the vote, and Russel Gingrich at about 20%.
Incumbent Judith Greenaway will be the only returning council member.
She will be joined by Paul Stent, Corey Gingrich, and Jennifer Howell.
