Smithers RCMP are reminding boaters to play it safe after a canoe capsized in the Bulkley River.
Mounties were called out Tuesday night after four people ended up in the water below the canyon in Moricetown.
While everyone made it safely to shore, they ended up on the opposite side of the river and had to wait for help.
Moricetown Fire Rescue Services and Fisheries were able to get a jet boat to the scene and pick up the stranded people.
Police hat a chat about boating safety with the canoeists.
Smithers RCMP remind boaters not to exceed the seating capacity of their vessels and to make sure all occupants have a personal flotation device.
