The bodies of two missing pilots have been found by search-and-rescue crews in the mountains north of Vancouver.
The Carson Air cargo plane was flying from Vancouver to Prince George, BC, but was lost shortly after 7am on Monday.
Ground crews found debris later in the day but couldn’t immediately confirm it was from the missing aircraft.
Navy Lt. Paul Trenholm says crews found one of the pilots Tuesday morning and the second pilot in the early afternoon northeast of Grouse Mountain.
Coroner Barb McLintock says two coroners are on their way to the crash site which is heavily treed and difficult to access.
The two pilots, ages 33 and 35, from the Vancouver area, have been removed from the wreckage with family members notified.
