The search for a missing Bella Coola woman has ended tragically.
RCMP say a local boat operator in the Bentinck Arm area found a body in the water July 7th.
Investigators say an autopsy conducted July 11th confirmed that the remains were those of Dianne Pootlass.
Police, search and rescue crews, and volunteers had scoured the region for the 41-year-old when family reported that they had not seen her since June 16th.
RCMP say the autopsy revealed no signs of foul play in her death.
The BC Coroners Service has now taken over the investigation.
