Search crews have recovered the body of an Alberta man who went missing on the Kitimat River.
Kitimat RCMP says SAR and Terrace Swift Water Rescue members found the 39-year-old shortly before 11:30 Wednesday morning.
The unidentified man disappeared Saturday morning when his inflatable boat hit a log jam and he was thrown into the water.
RCMP say it’s not safe to launch off of the 18 Mile Bridge site at this time and boaters should instead use the “first washout” or at Cable Car.
Police are also reminding members of the public to always where their life jackets when going out on the water.
The BC Coroners Service has taken over the investigation and RCMP say there will be no further information released at this time.
