Formal discussions over salmon fishing in the Broughton Archipelago will continue following significant progress this summer.
In June, numerous First Nations governments began formal talks with the provincial government in what has become known as the Broughton Table.
Open-net salmon farm tenures are the key point of contention as the two parties look to hash out a deal.
An original 90 day mandate letter issued in June has now been extended another 60 days as the two continue to work towards an agreement.
