The BC River Forecast Centre has downgraded the Bulkley River at Smithers from a flood warning to a flood watch as levels ease off.
Centre head David Campbell says the river has seen a holding pattern with some cooler temperatures, but there is still a possibility for rising levels on the Bulkley and tributaries downstream depending on the weather.
Campbell says the risks for any more potential flood activity in the next couple of weeks will be from rainfall rather than remaining snowpack.
