A Burns Lake man has been sentenced to life in prison for a triple murder nearly three years ago.
A BC Supreme Court judge in Smithers ruled Wednesday that 56 year-old Reuben Buhler will spend the next 22 years in prison before he’s eligible for parole.
Buhler pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the deaths of Ridge Vern Vienneau, Ehr Ola Andersen and Mitchel Wade Ruttan in Burns Lake.
The three victims were found when Burns Lake RCMP responded to shots fired at a home on 5th Avenue on the morning of April 27, 2015.
Buhler also received a lifetime firearms ban and must submit a DNA sample.
