Improve your overall drawing/painting/sculpting skills with figure drawing. This series will include instruction and exercises in short-pose gesture drawing and basic structure, negative space, contouring, foreshortening, and rendering with attention to light and shadow.

The April 10-May 12, 2018, exhibition at Smithers Art Gallery is “Totem Reflections” by Gitxsan artist Arlene Ness from Hazelton in the Main Gallery, a collection of cultural imagery centred around the ancient totem poles still alive today, and “Awakening Spirit” by Arimathea Pappas from Clinton, BC, in the Mini Gallery, a collection of art created from natural materials with added sculptural components made of clay.
