You are invited to Bulkley Valley Farmers’ Market in Smithers to pick up some afternoon picnic supplies, groceries for the week, and Saturday dinner fixings from local farms and producers. Each week you’ll find a fresh selection of fresh and organic produce, meat, eggs, poultry, artisanal prepared food, baking and local honey. You will also find the unique talents of local artists and crafters who offer jewelry, wood-working, soaps, stained glass, sewing and much more. Pay a visit to this beautiful laid-back market where you can stop and chat with the producers, sip coffee and enjoy live music.
Bulkley Valley Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday, 8:30am-12:30pm at the corner of Main St and Hwy 16 in Smithers.
The ‘Northwest Artists’ exhibition is made up of multiple artists from the northwest: Kitimat, Terrace, Prince Rupert, and Smithers. ‘Fused Shards’ is a functional glass art exhibition by Elaine Farina from Kitimat. Together they are exhibiting their art in the Upstairs Gallery of the Kitimat Museum & Archives. This show is bursting with colours and textures that delight and awe the viewer. With the diversity of media and subjects, there is something for everyone.
