Bulkley Valley Farmers Market @ Main St and Hwy 16 Smithers

You are invited to Bulkley Valley Farmers’ Market in Smithers to pick up some afternoon picnic supplies, groceries for the week, and Saturday dinner fixings from local farms and producers. Each week you’ll find a fresh selection of fresh and organic produce, meat, eggs, poultry, artisanal prepared food, baking and local honey. You will also find the unique talents of local artists and crafters who offer jewelry, wood-working, soaps, stained glass, sewing and much more. Pay a visit to this beautiful laid-back market where you can stop and chat with the producers, sip coffee and enjoy live music.
Bulkley Valley Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday8:30am-12:30pm at the corner of Main St and Hwy 16 in Smithers.

BC Summer Reading Club 2018

The Prince Rupert Public Library invites children in Kindergarten through Grade 6 to join in on the fun and games this summer.

Meet once a week at the library for stories, crafts and activities or sign up for the “Take a Trip” kit to use on holidays or at home if you can’t attend our programs.

July  13th – August 3rd
Kindergarten:  (for those finishing kindergarten)
Fridays 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

July 10th – August 16th
Finishing Grades 1 -3
Tuesdays OR Wednesdays: 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Friday, August 10th with a Beer Gardens and Chili Contest

Saturday, August 11 – Pancake breakfast, public market, local artists, remote control car races, Historical walking tour, kids games, kids bingo, silent auction, Teddy Bear picnic, Rubber duck race, photo contest Adults and children- deadline to enter photo contest August 6th at 5pm.

Saturday August 11- Fishing Derby

Sunday, August 12th – walk bike or run, open air church service

Teddy Bear Sleepover @ Smithers Public Library

It’s time for another Teddy Bear Sleepover at the library! Bring your teddy or other stuffie friend and a blankie for story time, a cookie, and a goodnight hug. Your stuffie will stay at the library for an exciting sleepover. Come back at 10:00 on Tuesday morning to re-unite with your stuffie and find out how much fun they had overnight!

This international performer wows audiences wherever she goes. Don’t miss her!!
