Heritage Park’s Gardens and Green Spaces Lecture Series @ Heritage Park Museum

Heritage Park’s annual Gardens and Green Spaces lecture series started this week!

Join them on Wednesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 pm to learn about heritage gardening!

They will have gardening- and botany-themed lectures all summer. Please see the poster below for dates and topics. More information will be posted on our Facebook page throughout the summer.

 Registration for the fall session of storytime programs begins on Wednesday September 5th.  Classes begin the week of Sept 18th and run for 6 weeks.

Smithers Art Exhibition: “This Mountain” by Smithers artist Mark Tworow @ Smithers Art Gallery

The September 11 – October 12th, 2018 exhibition at Smithers Art Gallery is “This Mountain” by Smithers artist Mark Tworow.  This show focuses on Hudson Bay Mountain and our relationship to it. This exhibition is the first stage in a collaborative project with local writer Patrick Williston in what will become a book authored by Patrick with accompanying paintings, many of which are included in this show. Please join us and meet the artist at the opening reception on September 14, 7-9 pm – all welcome, free admission, refreshments provided. “Three Roads to Peace” Concert @ Round Lake Hall, 7 km east of Telkwa on Round Lake Road

A warm welcome and an exciting kick off to the music season at Round Lake Hall awaits you on September 19th at 7 p.m. at Round Lake Hall. Our first event, “Three Roads to Peace”, features exciting performances by Kym Gouchie and Northern Sky, Saltwater Hank, and Simbiyez Wilson – presenting an amazing diversity of stories of the land, characters, and history of our north central BC area, combined with unique and original melodies, harmonies, and rhythms.

Tickets at the door $20. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Music starts at 7:00. Refreshments and CD’s available at the break.
