Join them on Wednesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 pm to learn about heritage gardening!

The September 11 – October 12th, 2018 exhibition at Smithers Art Gallery is “This Mountain” by Smithers artist Mark Tworow.  This show focuses on Hudson Bay Mountain and our relationship to it. This exhibition is the first stage in a collaborative project with local writer Patrick Williston in what will become a book authored by Patrick with accompanying paintings, many of which are included in this show. Please join us and meet the artist at the opening reception on September 14, 7-9 pm – all welcome, free admission, refreshments provided. Trauma-Informed Yoga Training for North Coast Transition House @ Prince Rupert | British Columbia | Canada

North Coast Transition House in Prince Rupert is seeking volunteer yoga teachers to lead trauma-informed classes for women fleeing violence. To volunteer, you will need to complete a weekend course in trauma-informed yoga techniques delivered by Yoga Outreach in partnership with the BC Society of Transition Houses.
Training will take place over the weekend of September 28 to 30. Cost is $360. Scholarships available.
