Burns Lake Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride! @ Lakes District Fall Fair Grounds  | Burns Lake | British Columbia | Canada

The Lakes District Fall Fair Association in Burns Lake is  proud to present the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride! A Canadian tradition since 1876, a troop of 32 scarlet coated “Mounties” on majestic black horses present a 30 minute show of intricate figures and cavalry drills choreographed to music. When the Musical Ride visits a community as part of its tour, it helps raise funds to assist charities and non-profit organizations that make a difference in your community. Take advantage of this truly Canadian experience and see one of our national treasures perform live at the Lakes District Fall Fairgrounds on July 24th at 1pm and 6pm. Get Tickets at P&B Feeds, The Burns Lake Chamber of Commerce and LDFC Printing and Stationary. Adults and kids 13 and over, $20.00, Children 3 to 12, $10.00.  The Burns Lake Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride is supported in part by CFNR.

Darryl Hutcheon from Science World’s “Scientists & Innovators in the Schools” program presents this 90-minute interactive presentation for kids from grades 1 through 6. Volunteers from the audience will be able to conduct experiments to determine basic general rules that will be used to engineer some useful devices.

Join the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre for a fun, hands-on science workshop at Smithers Public Library.
The workshops (two ) engage kids in problem-solving, design challenges and exploration using STEM (focus on Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). It’s a lot of fun working with “Little Bits” and “Ozobots” robotics. This program is designed for ages 5 to 12 (parents and guardians are welcome to sit with their child).

The Tlell Fall Fair on Haida Gwaii is held the Sunday before BC Day every year. It is located in Tlell , within Naikoon Provincial Park. Tlell is the Agricultural and Farming hub of the islands. Like many fairs they have Live Music, kids games live events and exhibitions of local products. They give people the opportunity to showcase their Animals, garden produce, arts and crafts, quilting, photography, baking and flowers. They also provide educational demonstrations and information on raising livestock and growing produce. This event also promotes and demonstrates sustainable Agricultural on Haida Gwaii. The Fair brings together over 1000 locals and tourists each year for a celebration of our Islands community and local sustainability in a fun and family oriented way.
