The First Nations Health Authority has started a campaign to get Aboriginal youth to butt out.
Doctor Evan Adams says Aboriginal teen smoking rates are over two times that of other teens in the province.
He says the campaign will get Aboriginal youth to make videos on why smoking is bad.
He says officials are unable to pinpoint why smoking rates are higher with Aboriginal youth.
The contest will have videos made by First Nations teens aged 13-16 in the province and it’s the second year running. Video are being accepted until June 19th.
