All open fires and campfires will be banned across all of north eastern BC starting tomorrow.
The Peace Forest District and the Fort Nelson Forest District are set to be added to bans that already include the rest of the Prince George Fire Centre’s jurisdiction.
On top of campfires, all category 2 and 3 fires are also banned along with stubble or grass fires, waste burning, outdoor stoves, tiki torches, fireworks and burning barrels, and the use of exploding binary targets.
The ban will be in place indefinitely until the public is notified.
