As of noon today, campfires will once again be allowed within the Cariboo Fire Centre’s jurisdiction.
The Centre joins the Prince George and Kamloops fire centres which also had their bans rescinded today.
Category 2 and 3 fires, as well as stubble or grass fires, fireworks, tiki torches, burn barrels and cages, and exploding targets are all still prohibited.
While campfires are still technically prohibited in the Northwest Fire Centre, they will be allowed for the Skeena, Cassair, and Northern Bulkley portions of the centre after noon today.
