Thanks to wetter and more temperate weather, category 2 and 3 fires are once again allowed within the Northwest Fire Centre’s jurisdiction.
Now that the restriction has been lifted, residents will once again be able to burn fires up to 2 thousand square metres, as well as use burning barrels and cages, tiki torches, air curtain burners, sky lanterns, fireworks, and exploding targets.
The Wildfire Service is still urging residents to exercise extreme caution when starting, maintaining, and extinguishing fires.
