The number of evacuees fleeing to the Prince George region has filled the 200 beds offered at the College of New Caledonia.
Officials have begun to utilize the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre at the University of Northern BC.
In total, 215 beds are being utlized at the two campuses, and that is less than 10 per cent of the total amount of people that have registered at the Prince George Emergency Reception Centre.
With 2700 evacuees registered, 600 of those being children, and more people coming in to the reception area, services offer continue to be increased.
Professional services from Northern Health, along with the Canadian Red Cross, the Salvation Army and RCMP Victim Services are among the resources being offered within the evacuation centre.
A new website has been created to help provide information for evacuees, along with information on ways residents can help.
