Christy Clark resigns as B.C. liberal leader

Former premier, leader of the opposition and MLA for Kelwona West has officially resigned.

Clark served for 6 and a half years as part of the B.C. Liberal party.

Rich Coleman will serve as interim caucus leader.

Premier John Horgan thanked Clark stating, “As an MLA and as Premier, Ms. Clark fought passionately for what she believed in. I know she will take that passion and energy to her next opportunity. I wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”

Her last day in office will be August 4th.
