Health Canada has squashed its citronella ban.
Bug sprays containing citronella were banned by Health Canada last year, citing a lack of data on its safety.
The ban took effect, despite scientists from the agency’s own panel saying citronella is generally safe.
A new review panel will once again look into the safety of citronella, an essential oil often used in bug repellents.
In the meantime, citronella products can be sold again.
