Conservation officers relocated three young grizzly bears in the Northwest this past weekend.
Sergeant Kevin Nixon with the BC Conservation Officer Service in Smithers says residents in the Lake Babine Nation community of Tachet near Granisle noticed the three yearling bears hanging around without a mother.
Nixon says the bears were released in an area quite a distance from where they were picked up.

He says the new location has significantly greened up vegetation compared to where they were found and he’s hopeful the bears will be able to make a go of it.
