The Coast Mountains School District is taking more time to decide the fate of its French Immersion program.
The district will take another month to comb through the large amount of feedback and information it received from parents and staff.
Jocelyn Chandler is a member of the Canadian Parents for French Hazelton Chapter, which will be presenting their research to the board on Wednesday.
She’s cautiously optimistic they will truly take their information into consideration.
She says their research shows the school board needs to address student retention in the program.
The school board says the findings and recommendations will be presented at their March 29th meeting in Terrace.
