Collision causing major delays on Hwy 16 in Prince George

The Prince George RCMP are reporting a collision at Highway 16 and Vance Road.

Police have closed the area while they conduct an investigation.

They advise motorists to use Ospika Boulevard as an alternate route to access the west of the city.

Police are asking the public to use Ferry Avenue to get to Ospika Boulevard then on to Tyner Boulevard. People who live in the Peden Hill area can use Westwood Drive, but this route is only suggested for local traffic

Police are urging the public to avoid the area as much as possible as there are extensive delays in travelling west.

The investigation will take a number of hours and no time frame has been given to when the roads may re-open.
