Smoke may be visible in the Houston, Burns Lake, and Topley areas over the next month or so.
The BC Wildfire Service will be conducting controlled burns in the Nadina Fire Zone from now until October 15th, weather permitting.
Fire Information Officer Olivia Pojar says the four burns are aimed at preparing the areas for reforestation.
Pojar says wildfire crews will be carefully monitoring the burning and the projects will only go ahead if fire behaviour conditions are suitable and allow for quick smoke dissipation.
