The BC Coroners Service is investigating a weekend drowning at Lac la Hache.
RCMP were called to the lake Monday and found ambulance and fire crews trying to revive a 56 year-old woman.
Police say the woman had been on a boat with a friend. When they stopped for a swim, the boat was blown away by the wind.
Another boater found the woman and took her to shore, but she could not be revived.
RCMP say she was not wearing a personal flotation device at the time, but note she was not required to do so while swimming.
No name has been released.
