Coroner’s inquest into death of Williams Lake man

A coroner’s inquest will be held into the death of Jacob George Setah.

Setah was 18 years old when he was involuntarily commited under the Mental Health Act on June 9, 2014 at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

He managed to escape from a secure ward and made his way to the top of a parkade, but ultimately fell and later died in hospital.

Setah was originally from Hanceville, just west of Williams Lake.

The inquest will start on April 11th at the Kamloops courthouse.
