Terrace RCMP say snowmobiles have no place on the roads.
The reminder comes after a crash between a marked police Suburban and a snowmobile Thursday afternoon in Thornhill.
Police were responding to a call on Kofoed Drive when a sledder emerged from behind a snowbank on the should for the road crossed into the path of the RCMP vehicle .
The snowmobiler was not injured in the collision, but police say it could have ended much differently.
The incident is under investigation.
