A police chase that extended from Terrace to Thornhill last night ended when an SUV collided with a power pole.
Terrace RCMP received multiple reports last night of a possibly impaired driver running stop signs and crossing lanes.
Police eventually discovered the vehicle on Queensway Drive, crossing in to oncoming traffic and initiated a chase due to concern for public safety.
The chase ended after the vehicle crashed in to a power pole on Crescent Street in Thornhill.
Of the three occupants of the vehicle, two were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while one is currently in custody.
Crescent Street remains closed as the provincial collision analysis unit is on scene to investigate the incident further.
