The BC Wildfire Management Branch says it will be scaling back its presence on a massive wildfire that burned about 250 square kilometres of forest southwest of Prince George.
Fire crews have managed to put out the entire perimeter of the Little Bobtail Lake wildfire.
Fire Information Officer Jill Kelsh says crews will remain on the ground until the end of the weekend.
Kelsh says that while the fire remains 100 per cent contained, smoke from the site will be visible for the rest of the summer.
The Wildfire Management Branch is asking backcountry users to continue avoiding travel in and around the fire area as many hazards currently exist.
