A close call on the BC Central Coast has the MP for Skeena-Bulkley Valley calling on the federal government to take action.
A rescue tug and the Coast Guard were able to tow a massive fuel barge with over 3.5 million litres of diesel and nearly half a million litres of gasoline to sheltered waters Monday after it became separated and stranded southwest of Bella Bella Sunday.

The fuel barge, longer than a football field, was towed and anchored at Norman Morrison Bay, located at the north end of Campbell Island.
The BC government says Western Canada Marine Response Corporation and Harley Marine Services are moving pollution control resources to the area as a precautionary measure.
