A group billing itself as a non-partisan organization committed to building environmental leadership in Canadian politics has endorsed 18 candidates in the upcoming federal election, including Nathan Cullen.
GreenPAC says Cullen, who is the NDP incumbent in Skeena-Bulkley Valley, and the other candidates were chosen based on their past environment-related accomplishments in the private, public or non governmental sectors.
It says the selections were made by an expert panel from various fields and political platforms and campaign promises were not part of the decision.
Candidates from six provinces were endorsed, including two from the Conservatives, three from the Greens, six from the Liberals, and seven from the NDP.
GreenPAC says each of the “Green 18” has achieved exceptional environmental results in their careers.
