Two cyclists are riding from Prince Rupert to Prince George raising money for Hope Air.
Mikaela Pond and Jennifer Miller are two nurses who work in rural areas of northern BC.
They say they see first hand the hardship patients face when they have to travel long distances for medical appointments.
Hope Air is a national charity that flies patients who can’t afford flights from rural areas to urban centres to receive medical care.
Their 6-day ride started on August 30 and they expect to arrive in Prince George today.
They have a website set up to accept donations, which will go to Hope Air.
They add that the funds they raise will help patients in northern BC.
They also have one final message to some special ladies in Moricetown.
The donation site can be found here.
